Christmas Helpers | 4 lovely helpers | Fantastic Child...

We would like to say a huge thank you to Senses Yoga for their fabulous donation of brand new clothes for the children. It comes at a perfect time as we have just started to get the children choosing what they would like for Christmas. Seven children have already chosen outfits and I am guessing a lot more will today.

We are expecting to wrap around 400 to 500 presents this year so if anyone would like to bring items to the centre to use as Christmas presents we would be delighted. The children get to choose what they want so its nice to have a good variety of new/nearly new clothes, toys, games. If you can't make it but would still like to help then please consider our Amazon (India) Wishlist, theres a large selection of items, also a couple of larger items that the children can use at the centre. Hoping it will be a very Merry Christmas this year..!

We had a fantastic afternoon with 4 lovely helpers who brought lots of small goodies and lots of energy. They played games, gave out prises, painted faces (and arms), braded hair, applied temporary tattoos and lots more! (one of the mothers was a little hesitant as she thought we were giving them real tattoos! Here are just a few of the photos from a fantastic afternoon! - Thank you to all the helpers and baby 'Bam Bam' who entertained the children too.....

This year we were joined by Tata Consultancy Services Goa for Children's Day, a large group of staff joined us for an afternoon full of games, music, origami, food, drink and of course a fabulous cake! The staff really made an effort to entertain the children and were very successful. It was a lovely day. One of the staff also brought their children and one of them gave out hand made jewelry to the girls - It was so cute!

A few weeks ago Yash visited us with the idea of creating a video for Childrens Day, here is the finished short film, he interviewed a few of our children along with children from other organisations. The film is cute and we would like to thank him for coming and sharing the finished film on Children's Day

here are a few questions that he asked the children...

... What change would you like to see in your country or surroundings?
... How does all the bad things that are happening in the world make you feel?
... Are you optimistic (aashaye) about the future?

This was all to create a small film that will be released on Children's Day. This morning he sent us a little preview of one of the girls... Enjoy!

Huge thanks to Gabriella and family for their generous donation of baby essentials!

Their gift of a high-quality baby carrier has already found a loving home, providing a safe and cozy sleep space for a newborn. We also received a baby food mixer, baby clothes and a large baby bouncer with all the 'bells and whistles' which we also gave out this morning, I will hopefully get some photos of that too shortly...

This Diwali, we were blessed to spread joy with the children and families we support.

With the help of our amazing partners, PupleMartini and Radha Raman Food For Livelihood, we prepared 100 special gift bags, each weighing nearly 10kg! These bags were filled with essential supplies like rice, lentils, sugar, and more, along with festive treats like sweets and chocolates.

It was heartwarming to see the smiles on their faces as they received these gifts. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this Diwali truly special for these deserving families.
